n     Co- designed the Control Point and a coarse-grain, generic IDL for the Management infrastructure of a next-generation, long-haul optical switch using CORBA, the Notification Service, and TL-1. Acquired detailed knowledge of standards from the ITU, Bellcore, TMF, SIF and OMG, for SONET, DWDM, and Digital Wrapper. The data modeling and functional analysis contributed significantly to the software architecture.

n     Added SONET standards-compliant APS and User Security to the CoreDirector TL-1 command set using the Lumos TL-1 Agent C/C++.
